Conceived by Kevin Augustine
Co-Written and Co-Directed by
Kevin Augustine and Edward Einhorn
from Lone Wolf Tribe
in association with Untitled Theater Company #61
A raucous and darkly humorous minimal extravaganza on religion and secular morality. Alone in a Beckett-inspired vision of paradise, God does his level best to manage his divine office. But while fielding an unending flow of prayer requests, he uncovers a secret from his ancient past he'd rather remain forgotten. Featuring Catskill-style comedy, bloody puppetry and a tour-de-forc performance by Augustine as the Man Upstairs himself, The God Project delivers a dynamic interpretation of a deep, contradictory, and ambiguous Almighty.

Reviews
"One of the most startlingly intense shows I've seen."
— Helen Shaw,
Time Out New York
“"An ambitious multimedia play ...The show’s greatest theatrical magic involves a young red heifer, a furry bystander to God’s spiraling despair. She is a puppet — and kudos to her creator, Mr. Augustine, for putting her on this earth."
— Laura Collins-Hughes,
The New York Times
“A bold theatrical statement that explores a question that is ancient and relevant. The creators’ efforts in searching beyond canon should be celebrated and emulated."
